Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Structural Drafter to join our dynamic engineering team in Ingolstadt. This full-time, on-site role is pivotal in translating complex structural calculations and designs into clear, accurate, and actionable technical drawings. As a Structural Drafter, you will play a crucial part in the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to final construction documentation, ensuring that every detail adheres to stringent industry standards and client specifications.

Your expertise will directly contribute to the successful realization of diverse projects, ranging from large-scale commercial developments and industrial facilities to intricate residential structures. You will be responsible for creating detailed structural steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details. This role demands a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of structural principles, and proficiency in advanced CAD software. You will collaborate closely with structural engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and coordination throughout the design and drafting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed structural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details for various building materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
  • Interpret engineering sketches, calculations, specifications, and previous drawings to produce accurate and complete documentation.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures) for 2D and 3D drafting and modeling.
  • Collaborate closely with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.
  • Perform self-checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Incorporate revisions and modifications to drawings promptly and accurately based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring proper version control.
  • Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and material schedules.
  • Stay updated with the latest drafting software, technologies, and structural engineering best practices.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Structural Drafter or similar role.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for structural drafting and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction methods.
  • Excellent technical drawing skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with German building codes and industry standards (e.g., DIN norms).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Drafting, or a related field.
  • Experience with Tekla Structures or other advanced BIM software.
  • Knowledge of various construction materials and their properties.
  • Experience in diverse project types (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial).
  • German language proficiency (B1 level or higher) is a plus.
