Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed structural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and connection details for various building materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
- Interpret engineering sketches, calculations, specifications, and previous drawings to produce accurate and complete documentation.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures) for 2D and 3D drafting and modeling.
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure design intent and project requirements are met.
- Perform self-checks on drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to relevant industry codes and standards.
- Incorporate revisions and modifications to drawings promptly and accurately based on feedback from engineers and project stakeholders.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation, ensuring proper version control.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs and material schedules.
- Stay updated with the latest drafting software, technologies, and structural engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Structural Drafter or similar role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit for structural drafting and modeling.
