Key Responsibilities
- Provide front-line advice and guidance to students on a broad range of academic, welfare, and immigration-related issues.
- Offer comprehensive pastoral support, including signposting to specialist services for mental health, financial advice, or disability support.
- Assist international students with queries related to their visa status, renewals, and compliance with immigration rules, referring to expert advice where necessary.
- Collaborate with academic departments, the International Office, and other student services to ensure joined-up support.
- Organise and deliver workshops or information sessions on topics relevant to student success and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and support provided.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of student support policies and procedures.
- Act as an advocate for students, ensuring their voices are heard within the university structure.
- Stay informed about current university policies, UK immigration regulations, and best practices in student support.
