Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of all studio equipment (cameras, lenses, monitors, audio/video consoles, lighting).
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair technical malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and upgrade new studio equipment, ensuring seamless integration.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and repair logs.
- Collaborate with production teams for technical support during live productions.
- Ensure all equipment adheres to safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Provide technical support and training to studio personnel on equipment operation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience maintaining professional A/V and lighting equipment in a studio/broadcast environment.
- Strong understanding of signal flow and broadcast engineering principles.
- Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators).
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics/wiring diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with IP-based video/audio systems (e.g., NDI, Dante).
- Basic networking knowledge for studio control.
- Physical ability to lift/move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Engineering or Electronics.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AVIXA CTS, Dante, SMPTE).
- Experience with specific studio brands (e.g., Blackmagic, Grass Valley).
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure relevant to media production.
