Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming merchandise against delivery notes.
- Efficiently replenish stock on sales shelves, ensuring products are correctly priced and neatly displayed.
- Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first (FIFO – First-In, First-Out).
- Monitor stock levels on the shop floor and in the stockroom, identifying items needing replenishment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and sales floor area.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and stock audits.
- Remove damaged, expired, or unsaleable items from shelves.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and company policies.
- Support store management with ad-hoc tasks as required to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by directing customers to products or assisting with inquiries when approached.
Required Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy boxes (up to 20kg).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in stock management.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills for reading labels and counting stock.
