This critical role at Career.zycto offers a fulfilling opportunity for an empathetic and dedicated Support/Caregiver to provide essential assistance and companionship to individuals in Ojota, Lagos. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) including personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
  • Administer medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed schedules.
  • Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, adhering to dietary restrictions.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and tidy living environment.
  • Offer companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and participate in recreational activities.
  • Monitor and report any changes in client's health, behavior, or well-being to the supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for the client at all times.
  • Promote client independence and dignity in all aspects of care.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a caregiver or support worker
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong empathy, patience, and compassion
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certification in caregiving, nursing assistant, or home health aide.

  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to diverse client needs.
  • Fluency in additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa).
