Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Surveyor with expertise in Land Mapping & Valuation to join our growing team in the vibrant Merchant City of Glasgow. Your role will involve a blend of fieldwork and office-based tasks. On-site, you will be responsible for conducting detailed topographical surveys, boundary surveys, and measured building surveys using the latest surveying equipment, including total stations, GNSS receivers, and laser scanners. You’ll translate complex spatial data into actionable insights, ensuring accuracy is maintained at every stage of data collection. Back in the office, you will process and analyse survey data, prepare comprehensive maps, plans, and technical reports using advanced CAD and GIS software. You will also undertake property valuations, applying your knowledge of market trends, economic factors, and legal frameworks to provide accurate assessments for various purposes, including sales, acquisitions, and dispute resolution.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed land and topographical surveys using advanced surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, Laser Scanners).
- Perform boundary surveys, measured building surveys, and utility mapping as required.
- Process, analyze, and interpret survey data using CAD, GIS, and other specialized software.
- Prepare accurate survey drawings, maps, plans, and technical reports.
- Undertake property valuations for a range of purposes, including sales, acquisitions, and legal disputes.
- Research property records, market data, and local planning policies to inform valuations and surveys.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing expert advice and project updates.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, industry standards, and best practices.
- Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety plans for fieldwork operations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in land surveying techniques and methodologies.
- Strong experience with Total Stations, GPS/GNSS equipment.
- Competency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation) and GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS).
- Solid understanding of property valuation principles and practices.
