Key Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to sustainability consulting projects, including ESG strategy development, materiality assessments, carbon footprinting, and climate risk analyses.
- Conduct thorough research and data analysis to inform client recommendations and support the development of robust sustainability reports.
- Develop and present compelling, data-driven sustainability strategies and solutions to clients across various industries.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to gather insights and build consensus around sustainability initiatives.
- Stay abreast of emerging sustainability trends, regulations (e.g., EU Taxonomy, CSRD), and best practices, integrating them into client work.
- Prepare high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations, and frameworks, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals and thought leadership initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in sustainability consulting or a related corporate sustainability role.
- Proven experience with ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and reporting standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German (C1+ level), essential for client interaction and report writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., LEED AP, GHG Protocol, CFA ESG).
- Experience with carbon accounting software or lifecycle assessment (LCA) tools.
- Familiarity with European sustainability regulations and policies.
- Prior experience working with clients in specific sectors like manufacturing, finance, or technology.
- A track record of successful client engagement and relationship building.
