Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain server infrastructure (Windows and Linux), ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Administer network components (firewalls, switches, VPNs) and ensure network security and connectivity.
- Implement and manage virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Ensure data integrity through regular backups and robust disaster recovery planning.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal teams.
- Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
