Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team in Eversten, Oldenburg. In this critical full-time role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, optimizing, and securing our IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and performance for our growing operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers) to ensure high availability and security.
  • Monitor system performance, perform regular backups, and implement disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Implement and manage cybersecurity measures, including patch management, antivirus, and access controls.
  • Plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments.
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and inventory for knowledge management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their IT needs and propose innovative solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance operational efficiency and security.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, industry standards, and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Required Skills

  • Proven experience with Windows Server administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, routing).
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) for infrastructure management.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., MCSA, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, ITIL).
  • Experience with Office 365 administration and Microsoft Azure services.
  • Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL Server).
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools.
