Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise alterations and repairs on a variety of garments, including trousers, skirts, dresses, jackets, and coats, to meet client specifications.
- Take accurate measurements for fittings and advise clients on the best alteration solutions.
- Conduct client fittings, ensuring comfort and aesthetic appeal, and making necessary adjustments.
- Operate and maintain industrial and domestic sewing machines, overlockers, and other tailoring equipment.
- Identify and resolve fitting issues, demonstrating creative problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Manage workflow efficiently to ensure timely completion of alterations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport and trust with clients.
- Stay updated with new tailoring techniques, fabric types, and fashion trends.
- Assist with inventory management of tailoring supplies and materials.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in all basic and advanced sewing techniques.
- Demonstrable experience with garment alterations, repairs, and custom fittings.
- Excellent knowledge of different fabric types and their handling.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in all work.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and interpret design specifications.
- Experience operating various sewing machines and equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
