Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise alterations, repairs, and adjustments on a wide range of garments, including dresses, suits, trousers, shirts, and casual wear.
- Take accurate body and garment measurements for fitting and alteration purposes with keen attention to detail.
- Consult with customers to understand their specific needs and provide professional recommendations on garment modifications, fit, and styling.
- Operate and maintain industrial and domestic sewing machines, including single-needle, overlock, and specialized machines.
- Execute expert hand stitching, hemming, patching, darning, and other manual repair techniques with exceptional skill and finesse.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues with garment construction, fabric, and fit, then suggest appropriate and effective repair solutions.
- Manage workflow efficiently to ensure timely completion of all projects while consistently maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all operational guidelines.
- Order, manage, and maintain inventory of tailoring supplies such as threads, zippers, buttons, interfacings, and fabric scraps.
