Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers warmly, providing information about services and pricing.
- Take accurate measurements for alterations and custom garments under supervision.
- Perform basic mending, hemming, and simple alterations using a sewing machine and by hand.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the tailoring shop, including work areas and display racks.
- Manage garment intake and collection, ensuring all items are properly tagged and accounted for.
- Assist with inventory of fabrics, notions, and supplies, reporting needs to the head tailor.
- Handle customer inquiries, appointments, and general administrative tasks efficiently.
- Support the main tailor with cutting, pinning, and other preparatory tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand and machine sewing techniques.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
