Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on VAT, Income Tax, and Corporate Tax matters to a diverse client base.
- Prepare and review complex tax computations, returns, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimise client tax liabilities and maximise efficiencies.
- Manage and nurture client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for tax-related queries and issues.
- Represent clients in discussions and negotiations with HMRC, including during audits or investigations.
- Conduct in-depth research into tax legislation changes and provide proactive updates and insights to clients and internal teams.
- Mentor junior staff members, contributing to their professional development and technical knowledge.
Required Skills
- Demonstrable expertise in UK VAT, Income Tax, and Corporate Tax legislation.
- Proven experience in preparing and reviewing tax computations and returns.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex tax concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines effectively.
- ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field.
