Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Operate vehicles in accordance with all local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Utilize in-car navigation systems and dispatch software for efficient route planning and ride coordination.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with luggage and addressing any queries or concerns.
- Maintain a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained vehicle at all times.
- Accurately record fares and handle payments, including cash and card transactions.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding trip status, passenger needs, and any potential issues.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Adhere to all local licensing and regulatory requirements for taxi drivers in Leeds.
Required Skills
- Valid UK Driving Licence (minimum 2 years experience).
- Leeds City Council Private Hire or Hackney Carriage Licence (or willingness to obtain one).
- Excellent knowledge of Kirkstall, Leeds, and surrounding areas.
