Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport passengers to their desired destinations, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Utilise dispatch systems and ride-hailing applications effectively for optimal ride coordination and route planning.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with luggage, answering questions, and ensuring a comfortable and pleasant journey.
- Maintain a clean, well-maintained, and presentable vehicle at all times, conducting pre-shift and post-shift inspections.
- Process fares accurately, accepting various payment methods including cash and electronic payments.
- Adhere to all local council licensing regulations, including those for hackney carriage or private hire vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and earnings as required.
- Handle passenger complaints or emergencies calmly and professionally, following company protocols.
- Possess excellent knowledge of Liverpool’s geography, landmarks, and efficient routes to minimise travel time.
Required Skills
- Full UK Driving License (Category B)
- Valid Hackney Carriage or Private Hire Driver License issued by Liverpool City Council (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean driving record with no major endorsements in the last 3-5 years
- Excellent knowledge of Liverpool city streets and surrounding areas
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service oriented approach
- Ability to use GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications
- Reliability and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional driving experience in a taxi, private hire, or delivery role
- Proficiency in additional languages
