As a Taxi Driver with Yellow Cab of Virginia Beach, you will be the face of our company, providing safe, timely, and comfortable transportation for a diverse clientele across Virginia Beach and surrounding areas. Your daily responsibilities will include picking up and dropping off passengers at various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations, and ensuring a pleasant ride for every customer. You’ll manage fares, maintain accurate records of trips, and keep your vehicle clean and presentable. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a taxi vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with luggage and addressing inquiries.
- Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle interior and exterior.
- Accurately calculate and collect fares, processing payments efficiently.
- Utilize GPS and local knowledge to navigate efficiently to passenger destinations.
- Keep detailed records of trips, mileage, and earnings.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and passengers.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Assist passengers with disabilities as needed, ensuring accessibility and comfort.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license (US or eligible for conversion with UK license support)
- Clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of Virginia Beach and surrounding areas or a strong aptitude for learning routes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
