Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small group academic support to students under the direct supervision of a lead teacher.
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials, classroom activities, and educational resources.
- Help reinforce lessons, clarify instructions, and guide students through assignments and projects.
- Monitor student progress, observe behavior, and report findings to the lead teacher.
- Support students with special learning needs or those requiring additional assistance to grasp concepts.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment conducive to academic success.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
- Administer and score tests, quizzes, and other assessments as directed by the teacher.
- Supervise students during non-instructional times, such as breaks, lunch, and transitions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support student development.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Education, Child Development, or a related field
- Previous experience (1-2 years) working in an educational or childcare setting
- Knowledge of Alberta curriculum standards
- First Aid and CPR certification
