As a Primary Teacher, you will guide young learners through their foundational years, instilling core values and essential literacy and numeracy skills. For Secondary Teachers, you will delve deeper into specialized subjects, preparing students for higher education and future careers, while also mentoring them through crucial developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans for primary and/or secondary students.
- Deliver instruction across a range of subjects, utilizing diverse teaching methodologies to accommodate various learning styles.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school administration to support student development and well-being.
- Participate actively in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- Integrate technology into teaching practices to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
- Stay updated with current educational trends and curriculum developments.
- Safeguard the welfare and safety of all students under your care.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with a teaching qualification.
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) teaching at the primary and/or secondary level.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Strong classroom management and disciplinary skills.
- Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or a specialized subject area.
- Familiarity with the Mauritian national curriculum or international curricula (e.g., Cambridge, IB).
- Proficiency in French and/or Mauritian Creole.
- Experience working with diverse student populations and special educational needs.
- Certification in First Aid or Child Protection.
