Key Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons and educational activities.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, particularly those with additional learning needs.
- Help prepare and organise learning materials, resources, and classroom displays.
- Support the management of classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as marking, record-keeping, and preparing student work.
- Supervise students during breaks, lunchtimes, and school trips, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and welfare.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A genuine passion for working with children and young people.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning and professional development.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to GCSE grade 4/C or above).
