Key Responsibilities
- Assist instructors in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and practical training sessions across various technical and vocational subjects.
- Provide individualized and group support to students, helping them understand complex concepts and complete assignments and projects.
- Prepare and organize teaching aids, specialized equipment, tools, and classroom materials before and after classes and practical sessions.
- Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement under the guidance of lead instructors.
- Help maintain classroom and workshop discipline, ensuring a safe, organized, and conducive learning environment for all students.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance, collating student records, and basic grading of assignments.
- Support students with special learning needs, adapting materials and methods as required to ensure inclusive education.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions regarding curriculum enhancement and student support strategies.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with students and staff.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Diploma or Certificate in Education, TVET, or a related technical field from a recognized institution.
- Prior experience (at least 6 months) working as a teaching assistant or in an educational support role.
- Familiarity with vocational training methodologies and practical workshop/lab equipment.
- Knowledge of local languages and cultural contexts within Tana River County to better connect with students.
- First Aid certification or willingness to undertake training.
