Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level remote technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, and application issues.
  • Respond to IT support requests promptly and efficiently via phone, email, chat, and remote assistance tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to operating systems (Windows, macOS), productivity suites (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and common business applications.
  • Assist with user account management, including password resets, account provisioning, and access rights modifications.
  • Perform remote installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and configurations accurately in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or specialized teams when necessary, ensuring proper handover and follow-up.
  • Educate users on IT best practices, security awareness, and self-service solutions.
  • Monitor IT systems and networks for potential issues, proactively addressing them to prevent downtime.
  • Participate in IT projects as needed, such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a technical support or helpdesk role, preferably remote.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and/or Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to user satisfaction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, ITIL Foundation).
  • Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools.
  • Basic understanding of scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) concepts.
  • Experience with VOIP systems and video conferencing tools.
