Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and chat.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior technical staff and follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Document all support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately in our ticketing system.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive knowledge base and FAQs.
  • Guide users through step-by-step solutions, ensuring a clear understanding.
  • Gather user feedback and relay it to product development teams for continuous improvement.
  • Assist with onboarding new users to our systems and applications.
  • Participate in scheduled on-site work at our Mission District office for collaborative tasks and team meetings.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
  • Strong understanding of common operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi connectivity).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues logically and efficiently.
  • Customer-centric approach with a strong emphasis on user satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications.
  • Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for basic automation tasks.
  • Experience supporting SaaS applications.
  • Multilingual abilities (especially Spanish, given the Mission District location).
