Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Diagnose mechanical malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions for diverse machinery.
- Install, calibrate, and test new mechanical equipment and systems according to specifications and safety guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of components and systems, identifying wear, tear, and potential points of failure.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to guide maintenance and repair tasks.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialized diagnostic equipment safely and proficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in our maintenance management system.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and occupational health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to solve complex mechanical problems and improve operational efficiency.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns, minimizing downtime and restoring functionality efficiently.
Required Skills
- Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Mechanics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and repair.
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults in various industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Solid knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in an industrial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
