Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve technical issues with various equipment types (e.g., electronics, machinery, IT hardware).
- Execute timely and efficient repairs, replacements, and upgrades of faulty components or systems.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks and services to ensure equipment operates at peak performance.
- Document all service and repair activities accurately, including parts used and hours spent.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients or end-users as needed, explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality standards in all repair and maintenance operations.
- Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for rapid response.
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge, best practices, and improve overall service efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and repair techniques through continuous learning.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in fault diagnosis and repair of electronic and/or mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, schematics, and mechanical principles.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for client interaction and documentation.
- Manual dexterity and keen attention to detail.
- Valid Mauritian driving license (for potential field service).
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
