Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and implement scalable and robust telecommunication networks (e.g., 5G, LTE, Fiber Optics, SD-WAN).
- Configure, test, and troubleshoot network hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct site surveys, evaluate technical requirements, and develop detailed network architectures and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery within scope and budget.
- Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and performance monitoring of network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues, providing expert-level support for telecommunication systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in telecommunications.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in telecommunications network design, implementation, or operations.
- Strong understanding of wireless technologies (4G/LTE, 5G NR), IP networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching), and optical fiber communication.
- Proficiency with network testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and VLANs.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Fluent in English and German, both written and verbal, for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud-native network functions (CNF) and virtualization (NFV, SDN).
- Familiarity with vendor-specific equipment (e.g., Cisco, Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia).
- Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
- Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
