Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Telecommunications Technician to join our growing team in Stuttgart Mitte. This is a pivotal full-time role for an individual passionate about installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced telecommunication systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including fiber optic networks, copper cabling, and wireless systems.
- Perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve technical issues with voice, data, and video communication systems.
- Execute repairs and upgrades on existing telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Program and troubleshoot IP telephony systems, routers, switches, and other network devices.
- Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and prepare detailed project documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, explaining complex issues clearly and professionally.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards during all work operations.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment used, and network configurations.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in installing and troubleshooting copper and fiber optic cabling.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
- Experience with IP telephony systems (e.g., VoIP, PBX configuration).
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel locally.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in German (B2 level or higher) and good working knowledge of English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant vocational training or certification in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with specific telecommunications equipment vendors (e.g., Siemens, Cisco, AVM).
- Familiarity with broadband internet technologies (DSL, Cable, Fiber-to-the-Home).
