Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial client assessments to evaluate mental health needs, history, and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, person-centered).
  • Provide individual and, where applicable, group counseling sessions in a confidential and supportive setting.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records in compliance with data protection regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, where appropriate, to ensure holistic client care.
  • Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate appropriate referrals.
  • Participate in regular clinical supervision and team meetings.
  • Adhere strictly to professional ethical standards and legal requirements (e.g., BACP, UKCP, HCPC).
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging therapeutic techniques.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues and coping strategies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in delivering psychotherapy or counseling services.
  • Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of various therapeutic modalities.
