Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various tile cutting equipment (wet saws, manual cutters, grinders) safely and efficiently.
- Measure and mark tiles accurately according to project specifications and patterns.
- Prepare tiles for installation, including cleaning, sorting, and staging materials.
- Assist lead tile setters with material handling, mixing grout, and general site organization.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.
- Perform quality checks on cut tiles to ensure precision and minimize waste.
- Support the overall tiling team to ensure project deadlines are met effectively.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to the supervisor.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and understand basic measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with good communication skills.
