Key Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, informative, and safe tours for individuals and groups across specified routes and attractions in Linstead and St. Catherine.
- Share comprehensive knowledge of local history, culture, flora, fauna, and current events in an entertaining and accessible manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest inquiries and ensuring a positive, memorable experience.
- Manage group dynamics, ensuring all participants are engaged and accounted for throughout the tour.
- Adhere to safety protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring the well-being of all tour participants.
- Maintain professionalism and punctuality for all scheduled tours.
- Collaborate with Career.zycto to provide feedback on tour experiences and suggest improvements.
- Stay updated on local attractions, events, and relevant news to enhance tour content.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a tour guide, preferably in Jamaica or the Caribbean.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- In-depth knowledge of St. Catherine's history, culture, geography, and attractions.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations calmly.
- Valid Jamaican driver's license and a clean driving record (if driving is part of the tour).
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
