Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Translation Project Assistant to join our growing team in Bridgeland, Calgary. As a Translation Project Assistant, you will play a crucial supporting role in the successful execution of various translation projects, ensuring seamless communication and timely delivery. You will work closely with Project Managers, linguists, and clients, gaining invaluable experience across all phases of the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in coordinating translation and localization projects from initiation to completion.
- Manage project files, ensuring all documents are correctly named, stored, and accessible to relevant team members.
- Support vendor management by assisting with linguist outreach, scheduling, and ensuring timely delivery of assignments.
- Perform initial quality checks on translated content, verifying adherence to project instructions and technical specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, update internal databases, and prepare status reports.
- Facilitate communication between Project Managers, linguists, and clients to ensure project clarity and progress.
- Support invoicing and administrative tasks related to project completion and vendor payments.
- Assist with troubleshooting minor technical issues related to CAT tools or project platforms.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Provide general administrative support to the Project Management team as needed.
Required Skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
