Key Responsibilities

  • Translate a wide range of documents and content from source to target language with impeccable accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.
  • Conduct thorough linguistic research to ensure precise terminology, idiomatic expressions, and consistent style across all projects.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other linguistic specialists to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Perform rigorous proofreading and editing of translated materials to eliminate errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
  • Effectively utilize Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools, translation memory (TM), and terminology management systems (TMS) to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Adhere strictly to project guidelines, deadlines, and quality assurance protocols.
  • Provide expert linguistic and cultural consultation to internal teams and external clients as required.
  • Continuously update linguistic knowledge and stay abreast of industry-specific terminology and translation best practices.

Required Skills

  • Native-level proficiency in at least one non-English language (both written and spoken).
  • Exceptional command of the English language, with superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic services.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with leading Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools (e.g., SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, Wordfast).
  • Strong research capabilities and analytical thinking to grasp complex subject matter quickly.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to accuracy.
  • Profound cultural sensitivity and understanding of linguistic nuances and regional variations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Translation, Linguistics, Modern Languages, or a related field.
  • Certification from a recognized professional translation association (e.g., CTTIC, ATA, ITI).
  • Specialized experience in translating within specific domains such as legal, medical, technical, marketing, or financial.
  • Familiarity with desktop publishing (DTP) tools or content management systems (CMS).
  • Proficiency in additional languages beyond the primary language pair.
