Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement efficient and cost-effective transport routes for daily operations.
- Optimize vehicle allocation and driver scheduling to maximize fleet utilization and minimize idle time.
- Monitor real-time fleet movement using GPS tracking systems, identifying and resolving deviations or delays.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and national transport regulations and company policies.
- Manage fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and other operational costs effectively.
- Liaise with drivers, warehouse personnel, clients, and other internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.
- Analyze transport data, prepare comprehensive performance reports, and recommend areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of all transport activities, including dispatch logs, mileage, and delivery confirmations.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks related to transport and logistics operations.
