Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations, including scheduling, dispatch, and route planning.
- Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor fleet maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely service.
- Handle logistical challenges, driver issues, and customer delivery queries in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements, fuel consumption, and driver hours.
- Implement and enforce health and safety procedures within the transport department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operational flow.
- Generate reports on transport performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in transport and logistics management.
