Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Travel Agent specializing in Booking & Itineraries to join our thriving team in Old Swan, Liverpool. This is an incredible opportunity for an individual with a genuine passion for travel and a proven track record in creating memorable journeys for clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of travel planning, from initial client consultation to post-trip follow-up.
Your primary focus will involve engaging with clients to understand their unique travel aspirations, researching and presenting tailored options, and meticulously handling all booking aspects. This includes flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, and activities, ensuring every detail aligns with the client’s preferences and budget. You’ll be expected to possess an in-depth knowledge of global destinations, current travel trends, and an aptitude for using various Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and booking platforms efficiently.
Beyond just booking, you will play a crucial role in crafting comprehensive and engaging itineraries, providing expert advice on everything from visa requirements and travel insurance to local customs and currency. Excellent communication skills are paramount, as you will be the primary point of contact for clients, building rapport and trust while managing expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget, offering expert advice and personalised recommendations.
- Research, compare, and present suitable destinations, itineraries, and travel packages, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Book flights, accommodations, rental cars, cruises, tours, and activities efficiently using various GDS and online booking systems.
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed travel itineraries, including confirmations, e-tickets, and all necessary travel documents.
- Advise clients on international travel requirements such as visas, passports, immunizations, and travel insurance policies.
- Process payments, manage client accounts, and handle booking modifications, cancellations, and refunds in a timely manner.
- Stay continuously updated on travel industry trends, new destinations, supplier promotions, and relevant travel regulations.
- Resolve travel-related issues, complaints, or emergencies promptly and professionally, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Actively contribute to achieving individual and team sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of all bookings, client interactions, and sales data within the agency's CRM system.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Travel Agent, with a strong emphasis on booking and itinerary planning.
- Proficiency in at least one major Global Distribution System (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
- Excellent knowledge of international travel regulations, tariffs, booking procedures, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a significant advantage.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for administrative tasks.

- Diploma or degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized travel industry body (e.g., IATA, ABTA).
