Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget, providing expert advice and recommendations.
- Design and present comprehensive, customised travel itineraries for various destinations worldwide.
- Manage all aspects of travel bookings, including flights, accommodation, car rentals, tours, cruises, and other travel-related services.
- Process bookings accurately and efficiently using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and other booking platforms.
- Provide clear, concise information regarding travel requirements such as visas, passports, health guidelines, and local customs.
- Handle amendments, cancellations, and re-bookings with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, popular destinations, airline policies, and supplier offerings.
- Proactively resolve any travel-related issues or emergencies, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Process payments, issue invoices, and manage travel documentation.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and customer service metrics.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Travel Agent or in a similar travel consultancy role.
- Proficiency in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
- Excellent knowledge of international and domestic travel destinations, regulations, and industry trends.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple bookings and itineraries simultaneously.
- Customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience with CRM software for managing client relationships.
- Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
- Personal travel experience to a variety of destinations.
