Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Travel Agent to join our team in Mill Woods, Edmonton, specifically focusing on the vibrant student demographic. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with students to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budgets for various trips (e.g., study abroad, recreational, group tours).
- Research, recommend, and book flights, accommodations, transportation, tours, and activities tailored to the student market.
- Develop detailed and attractive travel itineraries, ensuring they meet safety standards and specific student requirements.
- Provide expert advice on travel insurance, visa requirements, health precautions, and destination-specific information.
- Manage bookings, reservations, and payment processing accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cancellations, changes, and last-minute travel emergencies with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, student organizations, and travel suppliers.
- Stay updated on global travel trends, student discounts, destination updates, and relevant travel technologies.
- Promote Career.zycto's travel services through various channels, including social media, campus events, and direct outreach.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in travel agency, tourism, or customer service roles.
- Strong knowledge of global geography and popular student travel destinations.
- Proficiency in GDS (Global Distribution System) software (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) or similar booking platforms.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
