Zantours, a leading and reputable tour operator in Zanzibar, is seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Travel Booking Consultant to join our vibrant team in Ng’ambo, Zanzibar City. As a Travel Booking Consultant, you will be the crucial link between our clients and their dream destinations. Your primary responsibility will involve understanding client needs, offering expert advice on various travel options, and efficiently booking a wide range of travel services including flights, accommodations, ground transfers, excursions, and complete tour packages. You will utilize your exceptional communication skills to engage with clients, provide detailed itineraries, and address any queries or concerns with professionalism and a friendly demeanor. We expect you to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of popular travel destinations, especially within Zanzibar and East Africa, as well as current travel trends and regulations. Proficiency in using travel booking software and CRM systems is essential to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences via phone, email, and in-person consultations.
- Research, recommend, and book various travel services including flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and activities.
- Develop customized travel itineraries that meet client requirements and budget constraints.
- Process bookings, reservations, and payments accurately using designated booking systems and software.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, travel regulations, visa requirements, and travel insurance options.
- Resolve client inquiries, complaints, and travel-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and bookings in the CRM system.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new destinations, and promotional offers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless travel arrangements.
- Promote Zantours’ services and products to maximize sales opportunities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Travel Agent or Booking Consultant.
- Excellent knowledge of travel destinations, especially Zanzibar and East Africa.
- Proficiency in GDS systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) or similar travel booking platforms.
- Strong sales and customer service skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a flexible schedule environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving aptitude and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
