Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Travel Consultant to join our vibrant team in Pamplemousses. This pivotal role involves crafting bespoke travel itineraries, managing bookings, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure our clients have seamless and memorable journeys. You will be the first point of contact for clients, understanding their unique travel aspirations and translating them into meticulously planned trips.

As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for a wide array of tasks, from researching destinations and negotiating with suppliers to processing bookings for flights, accommodation, tours, and transfers. Your expertise will guide clients through various travel options, ensuring their preferences, budget, and logistical needs are met with precision. You will handle inquiries, resolve travel-related issues, and stay updated on travel regulations, destination requirements, and industry trends to offer the most current and relevant advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget for both leisure and business trips.
  • Research, recommend, and book flights, accommodations, rental cars, cruises, tours, and other travel services.
  • Design and customize detailed travel itineraries, offering personalized recommendations for destinations and activities.
  • Process bookings, issue tickets, vouchers, and confirmations accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel industry trends, destination information, visa requirements, and travel regulations.
  • Handle client inquiries, resolve complaints, and address any travel-related issues promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and travel suppliers.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the growth of the company's client base.
  • Utilize GDS (Global Distribution System) and other booking platforms proficiently.
  • Manage invoicing and payment collection for booked travel arrangements.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar role within the travel industry.
  • Proven ability to create and manage complex travel itineraries.
  • Excellent knowledge of various travel destinations, airlines, hotels, and tour operators.
  • Proficiency in GDS (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is essential.
  • Strong sales and customer service skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities (written and verbal).
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Fluency in additional languages (e.g., French, Hindi, Creole) is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM software for client management.
  • Familiarity with various travel insurance policies and options.
