Career.zycto is seeking experienced and dedicated Truck Drivers specializing in freight and goods transportation to join our network of premier logistics partners based in Cybercity, Ebene. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight and goods across various routes within Mauritius.
  • Adhere strictly to all national and company driving laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all systems are in good working order.
  • Secure cargo properly for safe transit, preventing damage or shifting during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery records, and all necessary documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members regarding delivery status, delays, or issues.
  • Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
  • Represent the company and its partners professionally at all times.
  • Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or incidents promptly to management.

Required Skills

  • Valid Heavy Duty Driving License (e.g., Private Bus/Goods Vehicle/Heavy Duty Vehicle).
  • Proven experience as a Truck Driver, specifically with freight and goods transportation.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mauritian road networks and traffic regulations.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job, including loading/unloading.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience with various types of cargo and delivery methods.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices and route optimization software.
