Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial truck safely and efficiently on local routes within Hamburg and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues.
- Securely load and unload goods, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo securement.
- Adhere strictly to delivery schedules and estimated time of arrivals (ETAs).
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifest sheets, and electronic records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery status or unforeseen delays.
- Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally during all interactions with clients and the public.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of the assigned vehicle.
- Assist with problem-solving and troubleshooting during transit or delivery as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid Class C (or equivalent German Klasse C/CE) commercial driver's license
- Clean driving record (no major infractions in the last 3-5 years)
- Proficiency in German language (B2 level or higher for communication and documentation)
- Strong understanding of local Hamburg traffic laws and routes
- Ability to operate vehicles safely in various weather conditions
- Physical fitness to perform duties, including lifting and securing cargo
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Customer service-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and GPS navigation systems
