Job Description
This role is for a dedicated and physically capable Full-Time Truck Helper to join our growing logistics team in Changara, Tete Province. At Career.zycto, we are committed to delivering goods efficiently and safely across the region, supporting local businesses and communities. As a Truck Helper, you will be an integral part of our daily operations, working closely with our experienced truck drivers to ensure the smooth loading, unloading, and transportation of various goods.
Your day-to-day will involve a variety of tasks crucial to our success. You’ll be responsible for meticulously checking cargo against manifests, ensuring all items are accounted for and securely packed before departure. During transit, your vigilance will be key to monitoring the condition of the load and assisting the driver with navigation and route adherence when necessary. Upon arrival at destinations, you will play a primary role in the careful and efficient unloading of goods, often involving manual lifting and the use of basic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting drivers with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of various types of cargo, often involving manual lifting.
- Verifying all inventory against delivery manifests and reporting any discrepancies or damaged goods immediately.
- Securing loads properly within the truck using straps, chains, and other equipment to prevent shifting during transit.
- Assisting the driver with route navigation, directions, and vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips.
- Adhering strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the truck cabin and cargo area.
- Communicating effectively with drivers, dispatch, and clients to ensure smooth delivery operations and customer satisfaction.
- Performing basic operational checks on material handling equipment and reporting any malfunctions.

- Physical stamina and strength to lift and move heavy items (up to 25 kg regularly).
