Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against manifests or invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely (training provided if necessary).
- Organize and store goods in designated areas, ensuring proper stacking and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and housekeeping standards.
- Perform pre-shift checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records as required.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors regarding load status and issues.
- Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Handle fragile and heavy items with extreme care to prevent damage.
