You will engage with students from various backgrounds and academic levels, assisting them with subjects ranging from Algebra and Calculus to Statistics and Differential Equations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one and small group online tutoring sessions for college-level mathematics courses, including but not limited to Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I/II/III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and Statistics.
  • Provide clear, concise, and personalized explanations of mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies.
  • Review student assignments, homework, and test preparation materials, offering constructive feedback.
  • Utilize online teaching tools and platforms effectively to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adapting tutoring methods to meet individual learning needs and goals.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment, encouraging student participation and confidence.
  • Adhere to scheduled tutoring appointments and manage time efficiently.
  • Communicate regularly with Career.zycto staff regarding student progress and any platform-related issues.

Required Skills

  • Mastery of college-level mathematics (Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently.
  • Proficiency with online communication and collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, digital whiteboards).
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspace.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Education, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Previous experience (2+ years) in online tutoring, teaching, or mentoring at the college level.
  • Familiarity with various academic curricula and learning management systems.
