Key Responsibilities
- Host live and pre-recorded segments of a local entertainment show with boundless energy and genuine enthusiasm.
- Conduct engaging and insightful interviews with a diverse range of guests, including local personalities, artists, community leaders, and residents.
- Introduce various show segments, performances, and features seamlessly, maintaining an engaging flow.
- Actively contribute to content development, brainstorming show ideas, topics, and compelling interview questions.
- Maintain a lively, positive, and professional on-air presence, adapting gracefully to unforeseen circumstances or last-minute changes in a live broadcast environment.
- Engage with the audience, both in-studio and through interactive platforms like social media, as an integral part of the show's format.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, writers, and the broader production team to ensure a cohesive and high-quality broadcast.
- Thoroughly research topics, guests, and current events relevant to the show's theme and target audience in Saint Mary Parish and beyond.
- Adhere strictly to all broadcast standards, company policies, and ethical guidelines for content creation and presentation.
- Participate in promotional activities, community outreach events, and public appearances as a proud representative of the show and Digicel Jamaica.

- Exceptional verbal communication and captivating presentation skills.
- Proven ability to host or present effectively in front of a camera or a live audience.
- Strong interviewing skills, including active listening, probing questions, and spontaneous improvisation.
- Dynamic and engaging on-screen presence with a natural charisma that connects with viewers.
- Ability to connect authentically and build rapport with diverse audiences and guests.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in Jamaican Patois is highly desirable and advantageous.
- Inherent creativity and a distinct flair for entertainment, storytelling, and compelling content delivery.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure, particularly in a live broadcast environment.
- Strong teamwork and collaborative spirit, willing to contribute positively to a production team.
- Deep familiarity with local culture, music, current events, and community dynamics in Jamaica, particularly Saint Mary Parish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Broadcast Journalism, Performing Arts, or a closely related field.
- Previous professional experience as a TV host, radio presenter, VJ, Master of Ceremonies (MC), or similar public-facing role.
- Experience with teleprompters, live studio environments, multi-camera setups, and understanding of production cues.
- Demonstrated ability to generate innovative and engaging content ideas that resonate with target demographics.
- A strong portfolio or demo reel showcasing diverse hosting abilities and on-screen presence.
- An established social media presence and a clear understanding of digital audience engagement strategies.
