Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ultrasound Technician specializing in OBGYN to join a premier clinic within the vibrant LoDo district of Denver. Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal scans, according to established protocols.
- Obtain and record high-quality images and data for interpretation by physicians.
- Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and cleanliness.
- Document findings accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
- Assist with scheduling and patient flow as needed to optimize clinic efficiency.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing professional development.
Required Skills
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with OB/GYN specialty.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician in an OBGYN setting.
- Proficiency in performing a wide range of obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to OB/GYN.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced 3D/4D ultrasound imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with various EMR systems.
- Additional certifications in other sonography specialties (e.g., abdomen, vascular).
