Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and engage new members, building strong relationships within the local workforce.
- Negotiate, administer, and enforce collective bargaining agreements.
- Investigate, process, and resolve grievances and workplace disputes on behalf of members.
- Educate members on their rights, benefits, and obligations under collective agreements and labor law.
- Represent members in disciplinary hearings, arbitrations, and other labor-management proceedings.
- Organize and facilitate member meetings, training sessions, and outreach events.
- Stay current with changes in labor legislation, industry trends, and economic factors impacting members.
- Develop and implement strategies for membership growth and retention.
- Collaborate with internal teams to advance organizational goals and member advocacy.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated strong negotiation and mediation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in both German and English.
- Thorough understanding of German labor law, employment standards, and collective bargaining principles.
