Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on urban development trends, demographic data, land use patterns, and environmental impacts.
- Develop and present urban planning proposals, master plans, zoning ordinances, and regulatory amendments.
- Manage projects from conceptualization through implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Facilitate and lead public consultation processes, stakeholder engagement meetings, and community workshops.
- Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and technical documents for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, environmental specialists, and other consultants on integrated urban development projects.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with local, regional, and national planning regulations and policies.
- Utilize GIS, CAD, and other relevant software for spatial analysis, mapping, and design visualization.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients and municipal authorities on urban planning matters.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in urban planning, land use planning, or regional development.
- Strong understanding of German planning law (BauGB) and related regulations.
- Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
