Job Description
We are seeking a proactive, creative, and highly skilled UX/UI Designer to join our innovative product team in Woodlands, Glasgow. This is a pivotal role where you will be instrumental in designing and enhancing the user experience and interface for our suite of web and mobile applications. As a UX/UI Designer at Career.zycto, you will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to identify user needs and pain points.
- Translate research findings into user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications.
- Design high-fidelity mockups and visual designs that adhere to brand guidelines and maintain consistency across products.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other designers throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and analytical data.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure all designs are accessible and inclusive, adhering to relevant accessibility standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing successful web and mobile application designs.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
- Experience with user research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into actionable design solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to articulate design concepts and rationale.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, pixel-perfect designs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with motion design or animation for user interfaces.
- Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to understand technical constraints.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience designing for diverse user needs.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
