Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and analyze feedback to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
- Develop high-fidelity UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites and applications look and function.
- Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback, data, and technical constraints.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles, user research, and usability testing.
- Proven UI design skills with a strong portfolio.
- Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, etc.
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
- Ability to present your designs and articulate your choices to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping (preferred, not mandatory for all roles).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with motion graphics or animation for UI.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience in designing for accessibility standards (WCAG).
