Career.zycto is urgently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Vaccination Clinic Helper to join our team in Maganja da Costa, Zambezia Province. This is an immediate hire position crucial for supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our community vaccination clinics. As a Vaccination Clinic Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and organized experience for every individual receiving vaccinations. Your primary focus will be on providing essential support to medical staff, managing patient flow, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and offering friendly assistance to community members. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and direct patients upon arrival, ensuring a smooth flow through the vaccination clinic.
- Assist patients with registration processes, including verifying appointments and completing necessary paperwork.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vaccination clinic area, including sanitizing surfaces and ensuring supplies are readily available.
- Monitor patient waiting areas, offering assistance and ensuring comfort while adhering to social distancing protocols.
- Provide basic administrative support such as data entry, filing, and managing patient records under supervision.
- Help manage vaccine inventory, including checking expiry dates and reporting stock levels.
- Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and caregivers to ensure all questions are answered and concerns addressed.
- Observe and report any potential issues or concerns regarding patient well-being or clinic operations to supervisory staff.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety guidelines, privacy regulations (HIPAA equivalent), and company policies.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling clinic stations as required.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Portuguese.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift light objects (up to 10 kg).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, administrative, or customer service role.
- Knowledge of local community health initiatives.
- Ability to speak local languages or dialects common in Maganja da Costa.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
